24 hours of HAPPY...

  It's Friday friends and a rather nice reason to be happy.

 Happiness is a choice and not always an easy one.  There is no shame in having a little bag of 'happy' tricks for when the blues set in.

If you haven't read The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin you must!  I started blabbing about this book when it first came out in 2010 and was corresponding lightly with the author and so inspired by her.  Here are some posts from way back when that will explain the book...

So proud of Gretchen, the book has spent more than two years on the best sellers list!  

Another person who is spreading the 'happy' big time is Pharrell Williams with the first ever 24 hour music video for his song Happy.

 

Pharrell Williams has released the world's first 24 hour long music video.

 

The mammoth clip is for Williams' new track Happy, which features on the Despicable Me 2soundtrack.

 

As well as Pharrell, the feel-good video features celebrity cameos by Jamie Fox, Steve Carell, Tyler, the Creator, Earl Sweatshirt, Jimmy Kimmel, Magic Johnson and members of the public dancing throughout he streets of Los Angeles.

 

The promo was directed by the We Are From L.A. group and features only minor cuts and subtle edits throughout the 24 hours.  -taken from MTV.com.uk

 

 

Here is the official video but I DARE YOU to go to 24Hours of Happy.com and let it play and try not to start singing and dancing along.  I have been letting it play as I work as it keeps my workflow at a nice pace and here and there I open the window and like seeing who is being featured.  It's well filmed and really addictive in a good way although I know I will start getting some grumbles from the peanut gallery if I keep up this nonsense any more than a day or two.  

If you have kiddos be sure to share this awesome Minion version of the video with lyrics...Ry is going to be in Happy heaven and might actually stop singing Wrecking Ball all the time and asking me about the naked lady swinging on the ball!
