I had the blessing of meeting Baby G soon after she was born and got to capture some fleeting newborn beauty for her family to have forever. Her Momma Christine has been a longtime friend of mine and I was over the moon happy for her to finally have her motherhood dreams fufilled.
So lovely and tiny, especially her toes...
In late September this year, I was doing some new photos for Christine to celebrate G's second year. While there Christine mentioned how she was worried about Gabrielle waking up at night and being sick, almost like a seizure. She asked if I thought she was over reacting as a first time Mom and if that was normal. I distinctly remember stopping myself from lightly giving the regular Mom advice that it was probably just a phase. Instead, I told her to trust her gut and get her looked at if she was scared. Well she did, and the next day Gabrielle was admitted into the hospital and a very big and serious vascular tumour was discovered on her brain. We went from playing in the park one afternoon to praying for Baby G in a day and my heart broke for Christine.
Here is the little slideshow I did with the images from our photo session that afternoon...
Baby G has been a trooper and been fighting hard to beat cancer. Her Mom Christine is the bravest lady I know and I am so happy she has had an amazing team of family and friends to support her during this struggle. Follow their story and send them healing energy via Facebook on the Team G page.
Samantha Venebles is a young lady who loves Christine and Gabrielle and has organized an event in Kelowna this May to support them called the Bubble Run.

For anyone who may not be able to attend the run, she will be selling T-Shirts individually, with all proceeds once again going to BC Children's Hospital.
I will definitely be there with my kiddos to support them and help where I can. They are also looking for door prize donations if you have something you can offer for this amazing cause.
Pre-register with Samantha on the Bubble Run facebook page. Tomorrow is the last day to order specific t shirt sizes, although there will be some to buy later as well.
Love you Christine and Gabrielle there isn't a day that passes that I don't check your page to see how you are doing and watch for updates and send a little prayer your way. G, your smiles, giggles and brave soul inspire us all to be better.
I cannot wait till May 11th to blow some bubbles with you little pumpkin!
