Eco-Friday is my opportunity each week to share a little 'something something' to shake things up a bit, get you thinking and most likely induce a serious case of the heebeejeebees (b.t.w., that's a real word, I do my homework).
The past few Fridays have slipped by, but I am back on it. Last night while waiting for Noah at guitar I finally got to explore SAFE in Lumby a bit more. I am currently working on a piece on GMO's and food. You've heard me rant about our dumb-ass grocery stores selling apples from overseas when we live surrounded by orchards and I buy my apples from poor ole farmer Jim for 5 cents a pound because the local packers won't take anything less than picture-book perfect apple...oh dear here I go again. Anyways, that post will come, still looking into a few things.
For today, I just wanted to share an image to make you think a little bit before you slather on whatever you choose to use for your daily primp. It's a tad blurry but hopefully you can make it out. It's a good picture of me though! lol
We've all sat beside that person on the bus or plane who's perfume is gag-worthy. I actually have to carry an inhaler as some scents give me embarrassing coughing fits, and often it's the person sitting beside me at a dinner party or that I just met for work sporting them.
There are so many plant-based scents and products out there to keep you smelling sweet that won't hurt you. They sometimes cost more, but it's so worth it.
I'm definitely not a saint but for the most part I try to stick to skincare from Arbonne and my friend Kiley at Back to Earth. Also love the Barefoot Venus line from Kelowna and was so sad to have forgotten my Lemon Freckle powder for Negril. It was sooo hot, and I was constantly sweaty. I think I sweated from places I've never sweated before, it wasn't pretty! If you like the divine Silky Underwear Dusting powder from Lush you'll love the light feel of lemon freckle from Barefoot Venus for summer.
Even Noah got treated to Sky cologne and bodywash from Arbonne(and Santa)....anything to keep my teen away from Axe! It's so fresh and clean and the cologne will probably last him for all his high school years.
If you ever want Arbonne I keep a membership and would be happy to place an order for you. I donate my commish to World Vision but don't do it as a business. My friend Kerri Borthistle-Pierce is an expert and throws a fantastic soiree if you ever feel like shopping from home. Way back when we were Earl's Girls together and I am happy to support her in her growing Arbonne career.
happy weekend friends, it's the 35th anniversary of Star Wars so may the force be with you!
