In my ideal world I have the cutest shop on Etsy, it's filled with all the stuff I love to make. (Do you know about Etsy??? If you don't seach it online....www.etsy.com, but be careful because it sucks you in...pick a category and see pages of stuff made by artisans) In the real world I have a notebook filled with ideas and pages ripped with excitement out of magazines. I am not producing many pieces at all right now...but there are some. Sooo, until I have my Etsy shop I will add a piece that I am selling once in a while on this blog. In thanks for your support I will sell things for wholesale for all Snickerdoodlers. If you are interested in a piece email me and we can arrange payment and shipping. I take VISA!
During my pregnancy last spring I was drawn into images of blossoms, birds, and new life. I also love Ginko leaves, which don' grow on blossom trees but it's a fairy tale right? This work is on super pale blue paper, its done with mixed papers, watercolours and acrylics. It's not mounted and it's simply framed in an inexpensive, stained Ikea frame. It would look much better with a proper mat and frame but I wanted to keep the costs down.
There is a strange reflection on the plexiglass in the picture which the image seem wrinkled, it is not, it's pristine. The blue background is also much softer in real life.
Now, back to cleaning out my studio, Sara has given me lots of great ideas but this will be a long process. She is good! Check out her link... http://www.organomics.ca/
