I am hungry to learn always. Although I do very little with most of my university education, I treasure every bit of beautiful knowledge I was taught. Art history was a major of mine, it was fascinating. People often think of art as frivolous and superficial but it isn't at all. True artists have so much to share and teach us, they live from their souls and give their all to share their passion. It is very sad art is becoming obsolete in our school system.
I stumbled upon something this morning that inspired me...
It's a life lesson and a common message in all aspects of the self help industry now...it's not at all a new message though. People who lived authentically have been true to this for years.
Marc Chagall was born in 1887 and was a major player in the Fauvism and Cubism art periods in early 1900s and also Expressionism and Surrealism. He lived through the wars and to be 97 years old. L'amour or Love was a theme he painted on extensively and those works have always touched my heart. I have never been to a major gallery and now with the internet you hardly need to, you can be inspired and whisked away by art anytime. Of course it is not the same as being in the presence of an original piece, yet a gift still for your eyes and soul when you need some visual therapy.
Even better is art set to music, and I wanted to share this series of Chagall paintingson love combined with classical music....take a moment to escape the chaos in your head and just be present in the experience.
Hope you enjoy and benefit from stepping away from your reality, stresses and monkey brain for a few minutes friends. The heart knows always and there are so many teachers all around us showing us that truth when we are open to it.
