Our Lumby Stars Pee Wee team just finished a very suspenseful game and unfortunately didn't win this time. It's okay though, because bright & early tomorrow morning we are all headed on a very exciting road trip to Vancouver. Taking a bus together all the way to The Four Seasons Vancouver for a night of family fun in style. In the evening we are all headed to the Vancouver Canucks game against the Minnesota Wild and during half time our boys will head out onto the big ice at Rogers Arena for a mini game.
Before that they get to watch the Canucks train and tour the dressing room and such. They will be thrilled.
As for my and Ry...the Canucks are swell but we are rather smitten with this big handsome black guy...Fin! He is the official mascot of the team and a family favourite. I will try to get some pictures of him in action. If you have kiddos who love hockey be sure to check out the Canucks Kid's Club for lots of fun stuff.
Looking forward to not having to do that long drive and letting the bus driver do the work while we chat and relax, checking into the hotel and getting freshened up then heading down to YEW before the game for some delish cocktails and food as most of the kids will already be at the rink for their Canucks experience prize.
I have to say too that I was looking at the NHL store for the Canucks online and they have the best stuff! Not typical fan stuff at all but really awesome vintage looks, flattering cuts and stuff you would want to wear around all the time...not just for game days. Here are a couple quick shares I fancied...
There is lots of awesome stuff for men and kids too but my guys all have jerseys so I think it's my turn for a team shirt. I saw cool Oilers hoodies at Target but I have yet to see as awesome Canucks stuff in sports stores as what is available online and at the official Canucks Team Stores.
We are so lucky to have a great group of players, coaches and parents to share these hockey-filled days with. Wish us well and I will be sure to share the story via instagram and facebook and then when we get back.
Happy Weekend friends!
