As parents it's often tempting to just ditch the kidlets with a family member or any insane friend willing and take off alone. I've always been a wuss about leaving my boys, and as tempting as it has been at times, hubbie and I haven't really taken that option very often.
Truth is, we get a lot of joy out of travelling with our boys, and over the past fourteen years we've gotten rather good at it. Our boys might not have the latest toys or bestest sports gear, we always shop the clearance racks and have no problems sporting a second-hand fashion find, BUT they've been a lot of places and seen a ton of things. That makes all the penny-pinching so worth it for us as a travelling team making memories. I am so grateful for the adventure opportunities we have had and insatiable for more.
A recent last minute semi-staycation really inspired me to find a way to make adventures happen more often for our clan...and also share some tricks & tips to help other families do the same.
So this year, I will be committed to working on Take Me TOO features on places that we have been and loved exploring. I'm excited about this project and happy to start with our little semi stay-cation this Christmas to Vancouver, British Columbia.
On Snicks I have the luxury of spreading stories over several posts. Being a snap-happy, huge lover of sharing finds and blogger on a journey; each Take Me TOO feature trip will consist of a few features to cover all the nitty-gritty.
Travelling with kiddos can be done rather stress-free if you are prepared and do a bit of homework, pre-trip budgeting and sometimes a smattering of online purchases.
Buckle your seat belts friends....next stop Vancouver.
