Lazy Sunday afternoons often turn into bake days...I promised the clan an oreo cheesecake but I also just stumbled upon something I am dying to try.
Snickerdoodle Cake with Brown Sugar Buttercream Frosting
What a perfect cake to nosh by the fire with a cuppa tea on a chilly winter day. I don't think I have it in me to make two cakes today nor does my ponch need multiple temptations in the house at the same time but this cake will certainly be something I bake very soon. Maybe I'll surprise my snowshoeing buddies one day soon with a post hike treat.
Originally I gave the recipe and photo credits for this gorgeous cake to the wrong artist. I assumed it was their original work as it was presented that way on their blog...anyways I would like to adjust that and give credit to the real artist Rebecca from Foodie With Family. I've just spent way too long drooling over her amazing recipes and photography. You all know I'm a long time fan of all things from The Pioneer Woman, I share her recipes quite often and I wasn't the least bit surprised Rebecca and Ree work together sometimes...her work is also featured on TipNut, Foodgawker and other fabulous foodie pages. Anyways, my apologies and a little shout out to everyone out there to be sure to give credit where credit is due always.
If you would like to make this cake here are the things you will need to have in your pantry so jot them down on your grocery list if you don't....
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Ready to bake?

If you too are a fan of Snickerdoodles I have loads of versions on my Pinterst board called Snickerdoodles . Recipes for Snickerdoodle muffins, cookies of all varieties, cupcakes, brownies, loaves etc. As well there is a large smattering of quotes, images, and things that bring me bliss or speak my truth.
My older boys are happily playing a game together and our little resident house elf Ryan has made a monumental fort on my bed and has a wee mountain of books he wants read so I'm signing off for now. I'll share the Oreo Cheesecake recipe and photos soon as well. It's not nearly as pretty as this cake but it's delish.
