I love dogs, Rufus was my dream dog and normally I like big dogs but this little fella is quietly stealing a place in my heart.
The boys sooo wanted a little dog, the smaller the better and when we first saw Sam on the Paws it Forward adoption site I pictured him bigger. I admit I was disappointed when I saw how little he was, weighing in at a mere ten pounds but he's so sweet. He doesn't shed, he doesn't smell, no accidents, no chewing, no barking...his only fault is is squirrel fetish which makes him bolt and me run around our street like a mad woman after him and his little dog complex which makes him do a 'i'm so fierce & feisty' routine for any big dog he can.
I've been assured that both these nasty habits can be fixed with training so I think he's a keeper. But don't tell my kids...I want to work the effective method of bribary as long as I can as they adore Sammy and know I've been a tough sell.
As I write little doggie eyes are watching me like a little love hawk...Lord give me stregnth and thanks for the cute addition to our clan.
