Today we are on our way to Prince Edward Island to hubbie's family cottage by the sea. I thought I'd pre-post a little share on a fabulous little bistro we discovered earlier this summer while on a speedy road trip to the Kooteneys.
Whenever we stop to eat I want to get off the highway and go to town and eat where the locals eat. It doesn't take long, and it's always worth it.
While cruising by Golden we were famished and headed in for a bite and found a gem of a spot called the WHITETOOTH mountain bistro . It's right in the little center of town area near a gallery and the post office.
I had a reuben sandwich on a fresh baked pretzel bun and only made it halfway through...it was amazing.
Hubbie had a goat cheese and roasted veggie panini and the carnivore, our teenager had a big ass burger!
Everything was out of this world and at dinner all I could muster was a bowl of miso soup and a couple pieces of sushi...it was so filling.
So if you find yourself in the rockies...
definitely plan a meal stop in Golden at the Whitefoot mountain bistro, and then watch out for these feisty fellas...
Yes, the big horn sheep hang out in backyards eating gardens and trees(there was seven) and I was quite okay taking their picture from afar until Noah in his red t-shirt cruised by and got them all agitated and running towards me snorting...
this is the last image I snapped before jumping to cover...the boys thought it was funny but I have been attacked by a goat and a reindeer in the past and it's not fun stuff friends.
No joke, my sis let a crazy goat loose and it head butted me against a stable door until I was able to escape and at another riding stable my friend suggested I go in the reindeer pen and pat Saki the reindeer and lets just say I had some serious reindeer hoof marks on my back for a while and my shocked friend had to punch the insane reindeer right between the eyes to rescue me...so no, charging horned, irrational goat-like animals are not funny to me anymore!
