Ryan has always been drawn to the tiniest things, the smaller the better. Big flashy toys get passed by for little tokens and treasures that he tucks away anywhere and everywhere.
His brothers have been snorkelling daily and pulling up crabs and critters from the ocean floor and bringing them to Ry to watch in a tidal pool on shore.
Some of the crabs are big and busy and he nimbly grabs them and moves them about and keeps them from fighting. All is well but nothing makes Ry happier than when someone brings a hermit crab over, especially a teeny tiny one like when I got this picture...
The chill of fall is in the morning air which means we usually don't swim until the afternoon and into the evening and dinners rarely happen before eight when we head back to the cottage.
Being a Mom to three boys is often a little hectic but nothing is easier than hanging at the beach with them...a couple snorkle sets, some water bottles, sunscreen a towel and my book and I'm done. Yes, I'd rather not know how many crabs are on the ocean floor when I swim but it turns out crabs are better entertainment than any video game you can find that's for sure.
