Only two thin stripes of snow remain on our front lawn reminding us of winter. The ice has all melted off the small lake behind our house. Once again, I can see the sparkling water as I wash dishes. I am so glad. April has worked hard to bring forth spring, welcoming back the birds and flowers. With only a couple days of this springy month left I thought I'd share these lovely pieces by the artisan Tamar Mogendorff.
Birds and birdhouse! They are all made of fabrics and are so cute.
More birds in birdcages! How perfect for hanging in a baby's room or in a whimsical kitchen.
These funny mushrooms and chickens also make my crafty heart swoon. Visit her site to see more...like dogs and owls and even some seahorses. Her imagination and the soft prettiness of her fabric choices are brilliant. Birch Hill will definitely need a bird house or two...and I almost forgot another favorite by Tamar...
This work of stitching perfection blows my sewing challenged mind! One day I will learn to work with fabric in an artistic way but until then I will bow down and worship Tamar Mogendorff and her army of soft treasures.
Now back to life...after a long weekend of sunshine, visits from friends, training Rufus and outdoor concerts I need to get cracking on my to do list. Having the boys off yesterday reminded me that summer holidays are just around the corner. Obviously I am not nearly as productive with three boys at home as oppossed to when two are at school. May and June are bound to whiz by and July is our move month, I have to make the most of what's left to finish up my projects, get ahead with work and purge out some clutter. I need to pick out some doors and doorknobs this week so I might just be asking for some more of your invaluable advice.
